Own Equipment Hours, Detailed (#205)

Why:
You need a detailed listing of hours cost for your equipment, by
activity performed, by revenue contract.
Focus:
Focus of Report is to provide a daily listing, by revenue contract, of the hours worked
and cost for your equipment. The report provides a breakout of hours by
equipment unit and by activity. The cost shown in the report is calculated
based on the standard cost or the fully founded rate at your option. This
report is a companion to the report Own Equipment Hours,
Summary (#203) where data are shown on a summary basis.
Selection Window:
The selection window allows you to filter the report by:
- Date Range: You can either select a pay period, or you can simply enter the start and end date directly into the selection criteria window. The Period selection is merely a short-cut for entering a date range, so you can always edit the start and end dates to be any date you choose. For example, you can pick a period defined as 8/1/2004 to 8/12/2004, and then extend the end date by three days to 8/15/2004. If you leave the end time blank, the program will assume you want the entire day for the end date. In the example below, the start date/time is 8/1/2004 00:00:00 (a blank is assumed to be time 00:00:00) and the end date/time is 8/15/2004 00:00:00. Because the end date time is blank (or 00:00:00), the program assumes you want the whole day of the 15th and makes the end date/time 8/16/2004 00:00:00. In the selection query, the program returns records whose start date/time is greater than OR equal to the start/date time and strictly less than the end date/time.
- Contract: You can select any or all of your revenue contracts.
- The "Only Print Raw Data" option generates a report with the
report detail, but with no subtotals or totals.
- Fully Founded Cost: Equipment cost is calculated at the standard
cost (by default), but this option allows you to cost equipment at its fully
founded rate.

Detailed Description:
The report shows the cost of equipment on a daily/activity basis. The
columns are:
- Contract: Revenue Contract
- Equipment: Equipment description
- Date: Time slip date
- Activity: Work activity
- Hours: Count of hours for the equipment for the activity over the
date range
- Equipment Cost: Cost for the activity (default is based on standard
cost)
The 'Fully Founded Cost' checkbox is used to control whether the report
displays costs using the standard 'dry' rate or the fully found rate.
Key Notes:
- Report is based solely on time slips -- employee, equipment and contractor
-- where the equipment is company-owned
- Report is only for your own equipment -- no contractor equipment is
included
- Employee pay calculator must be run for the report (equipment costs
are computed when the employee calculator is run)
- Equipment cost is based on the equipment standard cost entered for each
unit (Maintenance time is NOT charged out at standard cost).

Example Report 1 shows the report where the cost data grouped by revenue
contract and
then by equipment unit.

Example Report 2 is the same as Report 1, except that the option "Fully
Founded Cost" has been selected. Note the higher cost for each piece
of equipment.
