Sample Loads by Block (#313)
|
|
Why:
You need detailed listing of sample loads by day and/or by block
Focus:
Focus of Report is to show detailed listing of sample loads from each block, on a
load-by-load basis
- Report covers all sample loads delivered from each block, including the weights
and volumes of the loads. No payment detail is reported.
- Report is only useful for those you keep track of sample loads
Selection Window:
The selection window allows you to filter the report by:
- Date Range: You can either select a pay period, or you can simply enter the start and end date directly into the selection criteria window. The Period selection is merely a short-cut for entering a date range, so you can always edit the start and end dates to be any date you choose. For example, you can pick a period defined as 8/1/2004 to 8/12/2004, and then extend the end date by three days to 8/15/2004. If you leave the end time blank, the program will assume you want the entire day for the end date. In the example below, the start date/time is 8/1/2004 00:00:00 (a blank is assumed to be time 00:00:00) and the end date/time is 8/15/2004 00:00:00. Because the end date time is blank (or 00:00:00), the program assumes you want the whole day of the 15th and makes the end date/time 8/16/2004 00:00:00. In the selection query, the program returns records whose start date/time is greater than OR equal to the start/date time and strictly less than the end date/time.
- Note: for report information that is based on load tickets, the report uses the Date Out (not the Date In).
- Block. You can select any or all of your Blocks
- The "Show Details" provides a detailed listing of the logs for each sample
load, grouped by species and product.
- Sort by: The report can be sorted first by date and then by block or first by block
and then by date.

Detailed Description:
The selection criteria determine the date range and block that appear in
the report. The report is based on your sample load entries.
The report shows the sample loads delivered from each block, grouped by the
date or block of the sample load. There are subtotals for each date or block
combination, and a total for all loads from all sample loads.
For each sample load, the columns are:
- Date: Date of the load
- Block: Source block of the load
- Ticket: Load ticket number
- Date In: Entry date/time of the truck into the yard
- Date Out: Exit date/time of the truck out of the yard
- Truck No: Truck number
- Truck Type: Truck type
- Load Attribute columns: Columns for load attributes, such as
Species, Sort, Process, Stratum, etc)
- Destination: Destination of the load
- Gross: Gross (full) truck weight
- Tare: Tare (empty) truck weight.
- Net: Net (Gross less Tare) truck weight
- Volume: Volume of the load. The unit of measure for the
volume is based on the unit of measure identified for the the source block
when it was setup. In the United States, this measure is usually in
Tons.
- Scale Volume. This is the scaled volume based on the hand scale
of the logs for the load, generally expressed in MBF.
- Tons/Vol: This is the ratio of the Tons to the volume (usually
MBF) for the sample load.
Key Notes:
- The report is based on those loads where the checkbox on the load ticket has
been marked as a sample load. If the corresponding hand scale data for a
sample load has not been imported, the report will indicate that by the entry
'Missing Scale'. See the example report below.
- The report does not include detail 'D' records. Only 'H' load records
or load records.
- The report does not rely on the running of any calculators.

Example Two:
Example report 2 shows the same report where the show details checkbox has
been checked. Note for each sample load, where the hand scale data exists,
a set of records is listed below each sample load that show the logs grouped by
species and product.
