This feature allows you to convert the Scale Volume on the load ticket into the Weight (Gross and Net) and the Volume fields.
This feature can be used when you are entering your volumes manually into the Scale Volume field, but you want to estimate the weight and volume of the loads. For example, the scale volume might be in M3, but the weights might be in KGs and the volume in Tonnes. Similarly, the Scale volume might be MBF and the weights in LBs and the volume in Tons.
This feature should only be used for those users with 'Scaled Volume' Enabled.
Step 1. Enable option in Basic Setup.

This option is Disabled by Default.
Enabling this Option makes the Menu Item 'Recalc Load Weight' visible on the Main Menu.

Step 2. Enable Is_Inverse_Convert Field for Destinations in Edit Data Setup.
Inverse Conversions are managed on a Destination Basis. The reason for this is that some mills scale their wood, while others weigh it and then convert it using conversion factors. If you have a destination that does both, you should set up two (2) destinations.

You can then indicate the destinations to which inverse conversions apply in the destinations grid.

Step 3. Set up Conversion Rates.
The next step involves setting up conversion rates. For example, let's suppose you have a scaled volume UoM of Cubic Metres, a weight measure of Kgs, and a volume measure of Tonnes. The calculator will first convert the M3 into KGs for the weight; next it will convert the weight (in KGs) to Tonnes.
So, you need a reverse conversion factor for converting M3 into KGs. But, by setting up a normal conversion factor of KGs into M3, the calculator can then take the inverse automatically. This conversion factor can be set up for the 'ALL' block or it can be set up on a block-by-block basis.
Note: If it is set up on a block-by-block basis, the block must be set up to handle conversions:

Step 4. Run the Calculator.
Select Recalc Load Weight:

The filter screen allows you to select the Date Range, The Destinations (only those with the field IS_INVERSE_CONVERT checked will be displayed), and whether to update only Zero weight loads or All loads. The 'Only Update Zero Weights' is the default. If you uncheck this checkbox, all loads matching the destination, date combination will be updated.

Note 1: Only Loads where the Scale Volume field is NOT 'NONE' will be converted

Programming Notes:
1: Only Loads where the Scale Volume field is NOT 'NONE' will be converted
2. Calculator first tries to convert Scale Volume into Gross/Net weight (Tare=0).
i. If conversion is found, weights are updated.
ii. If NO conversion found, weights & volumes are converted to ZERO. End of Story.
3. If Scale Volume-to-Weight conversion is found then:
i. Calculator tries to convert weight into load volume (not scale volume).
a. If conversion is found, load volume is updated, End of Story.
b. If NO conversion found, weights are updated; volume is converted to ZERO.
Issues:
1. What to do with Adj Net -> Should = Net? Yes
2. If scale volume UoM = Load Volume; the set Load Vol = Scale Vol Yes
