Trucks, Contractor Pay (#607)
|
|
Why:
You need a report that shows your pay to your subcontractors for the
Trucking activities.
Focus:
Focus of Report is to show the amounts paid to subcontractors for the
trucking activity. These are the amounts that are paid to contractors as
distinct from revenue received from the mill (see the Trucks, Load Revenue
report for revenues). The amounts exclude payments to your own drivers of
for the use of your trucks -- they only include those paid to subcontractors.
- Report covers all loads delivered by each truck
- Trucks are only contractor-owned trucks (No company-owned trucks)
- This
report covers pay for the trucking activity.
- Activities that are coded as 'is pay like trucking' are also included.
Selection Window:
The selection window allows you to filter the report by:
- Date Range: You can either select a pay period, or you can simply enter the start and end date directly into the selection criteria window. The Period selection is merely a short-cut for entering a date range, so you can always edit the start and end dates to be any date you choose. For example, you can pick a period defined as 8/1/2004 to 8/12/2004, and then extend the end date by three days to 8/15/2004. If you leave the end time blank, the program will assume you want the entire day for the end date. In the example below, the start date/time is 8/1/2004 00:00:00 (a blank is assumed to be time 00:00:00) and the end date/time is 8/15/2004 00:00:00. Because the end date time is blank (or 00:00:00), the program assumes you want the whole day of the 15th and makes the end date/time 8/16/2004 00:00:00. In the selection query, the program returns records whose start date/time is greater than OR equal to the start/date time and strictly less than the end date/time.
- Note: for report information that is based on load tickets, the report uses the Date Out (not the Date In).
- Block: You can select any or all of your blocks (wood source)
- Destination: You can select any or all of your destinations.
- Truck. You can select any or all of your Trucks. The second
column shows the truck description and owner's name in parentheses.
The trucks are ordered first by Owner and then by Truck number.
The Block, Destination and Truck selections all work together to select a set
of loads. In the example below, the selection can be interpreted as:
"Select all loads for trucks T10002 and T10011 from Blocks 01-ATHA-1001,
01-ATHA-8822, 02-CLEAR-2102 or 03-RAINBOW-2991 that have been delivered to
GPRAIRIE, HI LVL, or LA CRETE OSB." Adding the date range
filter of 8/1/2004 to 8/23/2004 further restricts the loads to those delivered in
that date span.

Detailed Description:
The selection criteria determine the date range and trucks that appear in
the report. The report is based on your loadslip entries.
The report shows the loads delivered by each truck
For each load, the columns are:
- Truck: Truck code (number) for the load with owner in parentheses
- Block Code: Block code
- Destination: Destination of the load
- Date Out: Exit Date of the load from the mill
- Ticket: Load ticket number
- Net: Net (Gross less Tare) truck weight
- Truck Code: Truck code (number) for the load
- Over?: If the truck is over weight, this checkbox is checked
- Wgt Over: Amount of the weight over the truck maximum; zero if not
over weight
- OW Ded: Overweight deduction. Amount of pay deducted because
of the overweight (= weight over multiplied by pay weight)
- Pay Weight: Pay weight for the load -- e.g. Kilograms, Pounds,
etc. Note: the pay weight will take into account (subtract) any
overload weight deduction
- Pay Units: Pay basis for the load -- e.g. Tonnes, Tons, M3,
etc. Note: the pay weight will take into account (subtract) any
overload weight deduction
- Pay Basis: Unit of measure upon which pay is based
- Pay Rate: Pay rate applied against the pay units
- Cost (net of OW Ded): Pay to the subcontractor after taking into
account the overweight deduction (if any)
Note: Columns will also be shown for load
attributes (like species or sort); they are hidden in the report below.
