Giving You The Edge...
This slide show demonstrates what a simple scale setup might look like. Our scale system is highly configurable, so your screen order and data items may well be different than what's shown. Our team will work with you every step of the way to configure our system to meet your specific needs. Use the navigation arrows below to scroll back and forth.
Welcome Screen
The software can be installed on a computer with a touch screen in a scale shack or office, and can be operated either by a scale attendant, or by the drivers themselves. Alternatively, the software can be installed to display on a monitor in an enclosed kiosk rather than in a scale shack.
Loop Pass Inbound Screen
The "Loop Pass" screen lets the user enter or scan a unique number or code that will identify the driver uniquely while in the yard. The number can be a driver's license number or any other unique alphanumeric value. Once the driver has unloaded, they (or a scaler) simply enter or scan their unique number/code again upon weigh-out to call up their load information.
Commodities Screen
The commodities screen can be configured in many different ways. In this example, we can determine whether an inbound truck is loaded or unloaded. Not only can this system accomodate deliveries, it can also handle outbound loads destined for another location. You can have up to four selections on this screen.
Auth-Card Selection Screen
With our (optional) authorization card system, you can relate as much (or as little) contract information to a unique authorization number. Upon entry/scan of that number, relevant information can be auto-filled, cutting down on time spent at the terminal, and providing an expedient process with minimal chance of data entry error.
Select Species Screen
The Auth-Card pre-assigns the supplier, and by selecting a species, the system knows the product is Pulp and displays the information at the top of each screen, giving the driver visual feedback and peace of mind about his entries.
Select County Screen
While the county might typically be tied to an auth-card, you could instead list it as an option to choose from. To give you an idea of how configurable this system is, we have more than 40 unique screen options available, and some can even be free form to allow for custom entries.
Weigh In Summary Screen
At this point, the driver can review all the load information. This screen will also show their current real-time weight. They can go back and make corrections if needed, or simply click the get weight button, and proceed to unloading. The entire weigh in process is fast and efficient, easily taking less than 30 seconds.
Weigh Out Loop Pass Screen
Once a driver has unloaded and proceeds to the scale for weighing out, they will need to enter their loop pass once more to retrieve the inbound ticket information for that load. Some companies will bar-code a set of loop numbers, laminate them and hang them on the wall of the scale shack for the driver can use while in the yard and return to the wall upon weigh-out.
Weigh Out Summary Screen
This final step allows the driver to review all relevant information assigned to the load. In this configuration, there is an option to select the Back button and alter some of the load information if inaccurate. Note that scale attendants can also override the tare weight with a password if necessary.
Ticket Printing
Once a driver has weighed out, the terminal or attendant will print a ticket showing details of the load. The ticket printer can also be configured to show a variety of information, including options such as a description or signature line. Reprints are available if needed.
